Barnsley Museums Natters

Our current series of the Barnsley Museums Natters podcast is taking you back to the 1980s as we explore a recently digitsed collection of cassette tapes from Barnsley Archives and Local Studies.

The Second Sight talking magazine which started in 1982 feels like an 'analogue podcast' For the first time we are making these tapes available online. In this series you will hear from some recognisable voices such as Dickie Bird and Stan Richards. The year long series will also delve into our oral history archive to celebrate International Women's Day and reflect on the 1926 General Strike.
